By creating seasonless collections and designing with layering in mind, each outfit can seamlessly transition from day to night and from summer to winter.

Our debut collection was made from rescued fabric, diverted from landfill By giving this material a new life, we were able to limit waste and create limited edition pieces, contributing to the slow fashion movement. For our second collection, 'Interrupted,' we went further in our commitment to sustainability by using biodegradable materials like Tencel and Bamboo Silk for many of our designs. Our most recent collection 'Talking Threads' has been created from 100% sustainable fabric.

High-quality clothing is key to extending the lifespan of your wardrobe, which reduces mass consumption and limits waste. With a background in garment construction and a keen attention to detail, our three founders uphold world-renowned U.K industry standards in manufacturing. By keeping our supply chain local, we're able to closely oversee the production process and carry out rigorous quality checks to ensure that every piece meets our high standards.

Keeping our manufacturing close to home is a priority for us. This allows us to maintain a transparent supply chain with ethical manufacturing and ensures the best quality for our customers. We believe in a win win situation for both curator and client. By paying our makers a fair living wage, we can offer beautiful high-quality pieces that our customers can trust.

In addition to using rescued and sustainable materials, we're committed to upcycling smaller remnants from our collections into scrunchies. Any further smaller offcuts are donated to art schools to reduce waste and support creativity. This approach not only helps us limit wastage but also contributes to the creation of art while minimizing our environmental impact.

At Out of Sync, we're passionate about eco-friendly packaging. Each of our pieces is carefully hand-wrapped in acid-free, 100% biodegradable, and recyclable tissue paper, along with 100% recycled brown paper. Our envelopes are also FSC-approved and can be recycled. We believe in delivering our products to our customers in a sustainable way that aligns with our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a fantastic eco-friendly fiber. Made from renewable wood materials, these certified biobased fibers help to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the planet. Not only are they compostable and biodegradable, but they can also fully revert back to nature, contributing to a more circular system. At Out of Sync, we're proud to incorporate TENCEL™ Lyocell into our collections, promoting a more responsible and sustainable approach to fashion.

Bamboo is a remarkable plant that has many eco-friendly benefits. It absorbs five times more carbon and produces 35 times more oxygen than a similar-sized stand of trees. Additionally, bamboo requires no fertilizer, is naturally biodegradable and can self-regenerate from its own roots. At Out of Sync, we're committed to utilizing these sustainable properties of bamboo in our collections. Our Bamboo Silk is produced without the use of harmful chemicals making them an ideal choice for reducing our impact on the planet.

Wool is an incredibly versatile and naturally technical material that boasts a range of beneficial properties. Not only is it naturally antibacterial, reducing the need for frequent washing, but it's also a renewable and biodegradable fiber. Additionally, wool doesn't shed microplastics that can be harmful to ocean health. However, we recognize that there is room for improvement within the wool industry. To further our commitment to sustainability, we aim to source recycled and organic wool, ensuring that our products align with our values and contribute to a more sustainable future.

The use of elastane in stretch fabrics is a common practice in the fashion industry, but it poses a challenge for sustainability as it inhibits biodegradability. While we recognize the benefits of stretch in enhancing the versatility and longevity of clothing, finding a sustainable alternative is a priority for us. We're committed to limiting our purchases of stretch fabrics to under 100 meters and are actively seeking more sustainable options to include in our collections.

The rescued fabric used in our collection has been diverted from landfills and given a new lease on life. Typically, these materials come from canceled orders or missed payments at mills. Our commitment to sustainability fuels our desire to rescue these beautiful fabrics and minimize textile waste. By repurposing them, we can offer limited-edition pieces that promote slow fashion and provide our clients with rare and exclusive items.
